The campaign for Feeding America began as a prompt to create a poster for a non-profit org that serves their community. Food access has always been an issue that I care about, and Feeding America does very important work for our food insecure communities.
I created initial poster designs using illustrations and nutritional facts about foods that we need to be consuming regularly, along with a statistic about food insecurity in America. Looking at the style of the work, I felt like there was more potential for it than just posters. I decided to push the project further by turning it into a full on campaign using the illustrations and simple lettering in different media.
Beyond the posters, I designed reusable tote bags, storefront advertisements, button pins and a van wrap that could potentially go out into food deserts and provide fresh produce to families.
